Lauren Mayer Fee Range: $4,000 - $9,500 Speaker's Home Base: CA Lauren Mayer believes “If you can laugh at it, you can deal with it,” and she embraces that philosophy as an award-winning entertainer, songwriter, humor speaker and sleep-deprived suburban mom. She uses a combination of music and comedy to keep her audiences in stitches, whether in her one-woman show, “Psycho Super Mom,” or with completely custom-written shows all about her clients. Lauren started piano lessons at the age of three and discovered her penchant for writing comedy songs and parodies shortly thereafter. She spent 5 years as a starving artist in New York, singing on street corners, writing special material for cabaret singers, and dodging flashers on the subway, before she moved to San Francisco to meet straight men. After several years as a successful cabaret performer, Lauren found her passion, writing and performing customized shows for private parties, fundraisers and corporate events. In the words of one recent client, “There is never a dull moment when Lauren is on stage - the audience always loves her!” Performing for hundreds of groups over the past 19 years, Lauren has the experience and ability to combine insightful humor, audience involvement, and material tailored to the audience, always keeping her comedy clean and intelligent. Audiences all over the country have enjoyed this dynamic, engaging entertainer, ranging from women’s groups (E Women, Ladies Who Launch) to fundraisers (March of Dimes, Jewish Community Center) to companies and associations (Kaiser Permanente, National Association of Insurance Women). Lauren has released two critically acclaimed albums of comedy music for women; she is a 5-time winner of the San Francisco Cabaret Gold Award, a phi beta kappa graduate of Yale University, and a Peninsula Arts Fund Grant recipient. Despite her numerous awards and achievements, Lauren’s mother still doesn’t understand why she didn’t go to law school.
