Motivational performer Jana Stanfield brings the power of music to her keynotes, called Keynote Concerts. I was introduced to her by Holly Stiel, who sent me one of Jana's cassettes years ago. I was sure she'd written the song, "I'm Not Lost, I'm Exploring" just for me.	I believe one of the greatest joys in life is to share what you love. My personal interest in health and well being in body, mind, and spirit combined with my love and respect for motivational speakers led me to establish my business, Speaker Services in 1998. In 2005, with a sharper focus and direction, we've changed our company name to The Speak Well Being Group which better reflects our focus on health and wellness.
A Bit of Background Motivational speakers first touched me in 1985, when out of desperation I found myself (literally) in a self-improvement class. This was my first exposure to people like Wayne Dyer and Leo Buscaglia. They showed me different ways of thinking and being in the world than I had previously known and made a profound difference in helping me re-claim my life. A few years (and many, many self-help books and tapes later), I worked for a speakers bureau where one of my responsibilities was to write copy for our catalog of speakers. With an advertising copywriting background, this was right up my alley! In the process, I literally read and thumbed through piles of speaker marketing materials and watched hundreds of preview videos, as well as taking advantage of every opportunity to see speakers in person. It was a great education and created the basis for relationships I treasure today. When I moved to Oregon, I decided to follow my dream of having my own business promoting speakers I knew and loved.	Our Specialty We specialize in speakers for special events and conferences in the health and wellness arena, especially women's events. In seven years of serving this marketplace, we have developed a clear understanding of the different types of events our clients hold so we can grasp your needs quickly. We know the expertise and skills of every presenter we recommend, and we are gifted at fitting the needs of each client with the speakers who will make the greatest impact with their audience and in their organization, whether it is a business, non-profit or association. Our relationships are built on trust, so clients have direct access to speakers for planning all of the event details, rather than having to go through a third party.

The Focus
When I started my own agency, I decided to focus in one area and help speakers I know and love connect with the clients and audiences that would be a good fit. The speakers I represent are hand-picked. Over the years, we've been referred to and by each other in interwoven ways. We find similar patterns unfolding with our clients as we interact in the marketplace and participate in various professional organizations together. This is an evolving process that forms a friendship network among all of us with interests in sharing expertise that helps people heal and creates well being in all of our lives.
